Fertilization

We visit your lawn four times a year and apply our unique blend of
fertilizers and nutrients, including our winter treatment. Technicon-trained, qualified personnel will feed your lawn from season to season.

Weed control

This can be a nightmare for lawn lovers. We take care of the problem of weeds such as wonder lawn, clover, sorrel, etc. No weed will match our range of selective herbicides. All our chemical remedies are second-generation eco-friendly mixtures, which are not harmful to children, animals or birds.

Insect control

We treat your lawn throughout the year for damaging insects such as lawn caterpillar, mole crickets, termites, ants etc. Most insects are not noticed until the damage is done.

Fungus disease control

You may not notice a disease until it is in an advanced state. We are available all year round to attend to any fungus disease.

Winter lawn feed

A special winter-feed is essential for your lawn to ensure that the lawn root system is readied for the onset of spring. Healthy green lawns are made and maintained by compounding the improvements and gains made from one season to the next.

Supply and lay instant lawn

Whether it is a small patch or large area, we cater for all your needs and even treat the new lawn for possible insects and weeds. We leave you full instructions on how to develop your new and existing lawn.

Lawn Dressing/Compost/Topsoil

Worried about when and how to top dress your lawn? We will arrange delivery of quality lawn dressing and spread it evenly if you are unable to do it yourself.

Soil Aeration

There comes a time when you notice that your lawn is very compacted and water cannot easily penetrate the soil. We aerate your soil to provide better water drainage and aeration.

Insects

Mole Crickets: These destructive insects will destroy the lawn root system.

Lawn Caterpillar: Thrive on the green leaf of the turf grass and eventually deprive the lawn of energy through the lack of Photosynthesis.

Termites: Are active throughout the year, but hyper active during winter when dry grass is in abundance.

Ants: Can be highly irritant and non-beneficial to lawns.

Weeds

Weeds are exceptionally unkind to turfgrass and in SA there are a variety of different types of broad-leafed weeds and narrow-leafed grasses. The common types are:

  • Wonder lawn: Spreads very quickly amongst Kikuyu especially.
  • Clover: There are two types. White and Burr Clover, both invasive.
  • African Gooseweed: A difficult weed to control.
  • Common or Lawn Pasalum: Will take over lawn very quickly.
Diseases

Turfgrass diseases appear out of the blue and are spread through shoes and garden implements i.e. lawnmowers, rakes, shovels etc. Common diseases are:

  • Anthracnose.
  • Brown Patch.
  • Dollar Spot.
